Extract from an Employee testimonial (Niraj joined us as a fresher, and has now completed 6 years @ AAPNA) –
When I joined AAPNA I was thinking I’ll get the task from the very first day and if I fail to complete then don’t know what will happen. But from my interview to till now it was back to back surprises. AAPNA was not getting something from me but actually I was getting trained from seniors. Isn’t it the same thing for which I was paying during college days? Now I am getting this for free and also getting some salary. Next six month I was a non-productive employee who was getting paid in terms of money, in terms of knowledge. Seniors like Shyam and Manish trained me-they are the two pillars of AAPNA.
I will now take a moment to describe these two pillar of AAPNA.
Shyam – If something new is supposed to be done in short notice he is the right guy. Either MVC, Sharepoint, Nop-commerce, net-Tier. Excellent capability of task division in team. And personally an amazing person.
Manish- If you need a task completed with almost 100% of accuracy, he is right person. No matter how much task you give to him, he will be smiling.
My training of first six month got completed and I not only managed to survive but I got more than that.
I’ll skip the next 5 years and come to present. But in short in between this time I spend multiple phases of my life- got married, got my daughter. And also learned technical and personality development stuff. Most interesting thing which I learned apart from technical skills was speaking English and now I was able to talk with foreign clients.
I skipped last 5 years’ story but I would like to share some facts I realized during this time.
- Open door policy of AAPNA – Everyone is open to raise his concern to the top level of management.
But most of the time even you don’t share your concern with anyone your top management is smart enough is smell your concern and rectify. - No one is actually BOSS here – Last week I entered in the Abhijit’s cabin and found a chocolate in his table. In absence of ABHIJIT, Aditya and new joiner Surbhi was in the same room sitting in front of my CEO’s seat. I grabbed the chocolate and had a bite. Surbhi who came from very big brand to join AAPNA, asked me- seriously you are having your CEO’s chocolate? I would have said “welcome to AAPNA”. Then I realized she is saying this because she is new to this culture. In AAPNA there is no such boss. Everyone has his respect and friend with each other.
Abhijit is at least 20 years senior than me so I use to call him sir. Multiple times he said not to call him sir, call him by name.
It’s very tough to identify the seniority of employee by just looking at him very first day. All employee has same respect. Professionally we follow the chain of command but personally we all are friends. - No hidden policy– Everything is open. To make things clear HR organizes sessions to make sure policies are clear to everyone.
- Have you seen an organization where HR is more interested in appraisal than employee? Yes, I got 3rd reminders excluding verbal one to submit appraisal form.
- Do what you say and say what you do – This is not from me but from our client SPL. He said to me – Niraj I like AAPNA because you people are doing what you are saying and saying what you are doing. You are not giving me false hope.
Let’s get back to my journey in AAPNA. So, finally after 6 years of journey what I achieved here can’t be explained in words. But the best achievement is that now I am looked upon as a highly skilled person. My juniors consider me as an ideal developer and they want to become like me. Since they have just come out to see the world they don’t know the depth of the sea. But still I feel proud of the progress made by me, from someone who had very limited knowledge of software tools, to a person who is now working closely and giving suggestions to some of the finest developer of banking sector (@ our client). From a person who barely cleared his engineering exams to getting a chance to work with complex and secure medical and financial databases.
It describes itself what AAPNA played role in my career and I want to say many many thanks to AAPNA.
