AAPNA Infotech celebrated its 15th Annual Day in Goa in April 2022 with resounding success.
Aptly titled “Magic In Goa”, AAPNA Annual Day was planned as a two day event. The venue was the “Baywatch Resorts”.
The teams were greeted by Abhijit (CEO) and Rakhi. The day started with team building games hosted by Mr Naresh Vij and Ms Valerie Chatterji. The games were absolute fun, and required teamwork, co-ordination, and sound strategy to triumph. At night everyone gathered back at the resort for a joyous pool-party, with lots of singing, dancing, and merry-making, accompanied by variety of Goan cuisines and drinks!
On the main day Commandos were greeted with some interesting ice-breaker games. The event began with the unveiling of AAPNA mascots – Ekam & Sunya – symbolizing the female and male commandos.
This was followed by the presentations of leadership team where they showcased their teams’ achievements, successes, and plans for the coming years. The final presentation was of Abhijit Roy, where he made the big announcement of ESOP for all AAPNAites. This announcement was received with a thunderous applause by all, as everyone realized they would now own a stake in the organization’s future and success.
Next was the customary Cake Cutting ceremony, followed by the widely anticipated segment – Awards & Recognitions. This year almost every AAPNAite received some form of recognition, through a large list of award categories, including performance, loyalty, talent, teamwork, and a lot more. The top awards of MS Dhoni @ AAPNA and the Transformer @ AAPNA (EOY) went to Hardik Shah, and Vineet Tyagi, respectively. The award ceremony ended with a surprise in store – the leadership team presented two special awards – Pearl of Excellence to Sanghamitra Roy aka Rakhi for her leadership of the HR team and to – Abhijit Roy, for being a Mentor of Mentor to all AAPNAites! As Abhijit and Rakhi received their awards, they received a standing ovation of over five minutes – yes, a full 5 minutes! There were a lot of moist eyes, and tender moments all round as AAPNAites reflected on their bonds with the organization and with each other.
After this, the action shifted to the informal part of the day – cultural programmes and skits prepared by various teams. The skits and plays touched upon the most common topics of the industry – attrition, hiring complexities, remote and work from home challenges and so on. The Durgapur team received the maximum accolades and appreciation and won the competition for presenting the unity and diversity of AAPNA culture. The formal event came to an end with distribution of the AAPNA Yearbook, chronicling the year gone by, to all AAPNAites.
In the evening, the team came in their best “beach-wear” to head over to the beach party. And what a party it was! A big thanks to Abhijit Roy for arranging the fire and neon-light dances by Russian artists, and to our ever-caring HR Team for the live DJ and music and scrumptious food and drinks flowing all round. Special recognition to Valerie for energising the party. It was a herculean task to get the party to wrap up, given how AAPNA Bandaaz were high on energy and spirits!
With the two-day event wrapping up, the time had finally come for AAPNAites to bid goodbye to Goa and to travel back to their respective hometowns. Lots of AAPNA Bandaaz met each other physically for the first time, but established bonds for a lifetime!
As the weeks have gone by since the Annual Day concluded, many felt that they returned physically to their homes – while their minds and souls were still in Goa! It was truly an event of magical proportions – which connected one and all – and reconfirmed for everyone how truly lovely AAPNA is as an organization!
